Tejumola Butler Adenuga is known for creating detailed ink drawings on paper and canvas using found photography and removing its informational excess, creating a visual story in the process. Using aluminium as a new medium, he has recently pivoted into making furniture inspired by West African fictional mythology, the works are a fantasy of an African utopia without external interference.
He has been commissioned for and collaborated with notable international brands such as Crocs, Adidas, Uber, New York Times, MTV VMA's, Dr Martens, Soho House, Atlantic Magazine, Berluti, The British Fashion Council, The New Yorker, Pentagram, Citizen Magazine and LAMY As of today, over 450+ people have Tejumola’s work permanently tattooed on their skin. He currently lives and works in London, England.
